Viry-Châtillon , France
50 girls visited the BWT Alpine F1 Team Factory in Viry-Châtillon, France in June for a tour of the facility and a STEM coding session. The fourth Race into STEM event hosted girls from the surrounding area in Viry to showcase the women working for the team and the career opportunities available in F1.

Melbourne, Australia
BWT Alpine F1 Team and Microsoft hosted eight Melbourne students for a third Race into STEM activation at the Australian Grand Prix. The activation saw the students from Braybrook College given the opportunity to experience the Formula 1 Paddock at Albert Park, receive a tour of the team’s garage and fireside chats from a selection of women working at the team. During the weekend, we also collaborated to feature the names of women working at Enstone and Viry-Châtillon on the A524 car to celebrate Women’s History Month and to raise awareness for the initiative’s mission.

The Race into STEM programme headed to London for an event at the London Design and Engineering UTC to host over 60 girls for a STEM event. Participants tried out curriculum to learn more about roles at BWT Alpine F1 Team and STEM!

Mexico City, Mexico
The Race into STEM Programme made its way to Mexico City over the race weekend to bring a STEM clinic to 50 girls. Participants received hands on coding experience creating a line following robot!
